A 90 mile walk across the glorious high country of the Yorkshire Dales
A Dales High Way Walk: a 90 mile walk across the glorious high country of the Yorkshire Dales

A Dales High Way

Sample Itineraries

Although the route divides naturally into 6 sections, you should not feel that you have to fit your walk into 6 days. There are plenty of possible stop-overs so plan your walk to suit your own pace.

You can take anything from 5 to 9 days and still complete A Dales High Way in a single week - including 2 weekends.

(There is also a 3-day Challenge version - this is EXTREMELY TOUGH and should only be tackled by people who have walked the route before and are used to these kind of events.)

Below is a sample of possible itineraries. Use the Accommodation Guide to construct your own. The walk can also be done over a series of weekends using public transport.
